October unrefined vegetable oil output in Ukraine 5% below last year's

In October, unrefined vegetable oil production in Ukraine dropped 5% YoY, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Vegetable oils production by oilseed crushing plants in Ukraine as compared to October 2020 output:

• sunflowerseed oil ▼6%
• soybean oil ▲42%
• rapeseed oil ▲58%

Refined vegetable oil outturn in October was 9% lower YoY.

"Crude sunflowerseed oil production since the start of 2021/22 has dropped by 13% YoY, refined by 19%. Soybean oil production is so far 17% above last year's, rapeseed oil by 54%," UkrAgroConsult analysts add.

The USDA in its November report projects sunflowerseed oil production in Ukraine in 2021/22 at 7.117 mln t.

World's largest sunflowerseed oil producer and exporter, the company Kernel, plans to process 3.8 mln t of sunflowerseeds in its FY2022.

Sunoil production in Ukraine is projected by Ukroilprom to boost by more than 24% in the current season.

Crude sunflower oil production in Ukraine in 2020/21 totalled 4.7 mln t. Refined sunflower oil output by crushers in Ukraine made up 745.3 thou. t.
