Grain export 2022/23: wheat shipment 62% behind last season's

Staple grains export shipment from Ukraine since the start of the 2022/23(1 July 2022-30 June 2023) season has come to 10.535 mln t. As reported by the Agrarian Ministry, commodities shipment as of October 14 dropped by 5.410 mln t, 34% down YoY.

Maritime ports of Ukraine were blocked by russia since February 24, 2022, the day this country started a full-scale war against Ukraine until on 22 July a grain deal was signed in Turkey.

As of October 13, grains harvesting in Ukraine was 64% completed.
Producers collected 27.1 mln t of new crop grain:
- wheat: 19.2 mln t, 4.1 t/ha
- barley: 5.6 mln t, 3.51 t/ha
- rapeseed: 3.2 mln t, 2.89 t/ha
- peas: 256 thou. t, 2.31 t/ha
- millet: 83 thou. t, 2.27 t/ha
- sunflower: 4.5 mln t, 2 t/ha
- corn: 996 thou, t, 4.37 t/ha
