MHP finalizing sunflower harvesting

In 2020, the agro-industrial holding MHP will harvest grain and leguminous crops on 360 thou. ha of farmland.
As reported by the company, sunflower, corn and soybean campaigns are still ongoing. As of October 21, sunflower harvesting was close to completion, the crop yielded 2.9 t/ha on average; corn was 40% harvested using the average yield of 5.9 t/ha; soybean campaign progressed to 60% at the average yield of 2.4 t/ha net weight.
Winter crops sowing on about 65.83 thou. ha is soon to be completed. The company's winter crops cropping plan:
- 64% winter wheat
- 33 winter rapeseed
In the current production year, MHP reduced soybean areas to 20 thou. ha.
Previously reported that as of October 19, agriproducers in Ukraine harvested 62.2 mln t of main crops on 19.9 mln ha, of which grains and legumes total 47.4 mln t harvested on 12.3 mln ha, making up 80% of the planned areas.
