Ukraine's April sea port oilseeds export fell by 8.3% YoY
In the period April 1-30, sea ports of Ukraine provided for export of 619 thou. t of oilseeds and oilseed products, 8.3% less from the volume exported in March (675 thou. t as provided by the figures updated), the APK-Inform consultancy reports.
The bulk of exports in April was formed by shipments of sunflower products, totalling 560,000 t. Sunflower oil export, in particular, amounted to 337,000 t (-2% mth/mth). The volume of sunflower meal shipment fell by 15% compared to March and amounted to 223 thou. t. No shipments of seeds were made in April 2021 (31 thou. t shipped in March).

Soybean and products export in April made up 59 thou. t, 1.6x higher from March shipment. Soybean supply came to 56 thou. t, 1.6x more mth/mth. Soybean meal export remained at the level of the previous month, at 3 thou. t. No shipment of soybean oil was carried out.
Rapeseed and products were not exported in April and March.
Key export markets for Ukrainian oilseeds and oilseed products in April:

- India: 126.1 thou. t
- Netherlands: 75 thou. t
Since the start of 2020/21, the port of Mykolaiv has provided for the transshipment of 4 mln t of oilseeds and oilseed products. The ports of Chornomorsk and Pivdenny handled 1.98 and 1.1 mln t, respectively.
Sunflowerseed production in Ukraine in 2021/22 is projected by USDA at 16.7 mln t, 2.6 mln t, or 18% higher from 2020/21.
The Economy Ministry of Ukraine suggested limiting sunflower export from the country.
