Avangard to recover the leading world egg producer status — Bakhmatyuk

Avangard plans to recover the second position in the list of the world's largest egg producers which was lost as a result of military aggression in the Donbass.

This was stated by Oleg Bakhmatyuk, owner of UkrLandFarming (ULF) and Avangard, Ukranews report.

"Over the past four years, we have invested more than USD 2.2 billion in agricultural assets in Ukraine. We are working to make Avangard return its position as the second largest chicken egg producer in the world. We lost our positions not only because of the political events of 2013-2014 but also because of the loss of the domestic market in the eastern regions of Ukraine," said Oleg Bakhmatyuk.

He also stressed that UkrLandFarming constantly introduces new technologies in production.

"Definitely, our growth rate will be higher if we get state support, as companies in most other countries do," he adds.

Reference: Ukraine in January-August 2018 exported 66.5 thou. tons of eggs for the amount of USD 57.75 million, which is 14.6 thou. tons more than over the corresponding period in 2017.
