Wealthiest agribusinessmen of Ukraine make up a third of the TOP 100

In the rating compiled by NV and Dragon Capital, Top 100 Wealthiest People of Ukraine 2019, 30 positions are held by businessmen engaged in agriculture.
"Assets value of the 100 richest Ukrainians is equivalent to 23% of Ukraine's GDP. This proportion is slightly lower from last year's 28%, and is far from the figure of 2013 — 40%," report reads.
The rating includes the following businessmen:
- 1st place — Rinat Akhmetov, founder and President of System Capital Management (SCM), with USD 9 629 mln (–21%);
- 6th — Petro Poroshenko, beneficiary of ROSHEN and UKRPROMINVEST-AGRO, with USD 1 253 mln (+12%);
- 7th — Alexander and Galina Gerega, the founders of Epicenter K, with USD 930 mln (+10%);
- 8th — Dmitriy Firtash, founder and owner of Group DF (Ostchem being a structural division of the Group), with USD 792 mln (+62%);
- 11th — Yuri Kosyuk, owner and CEO of the agro-industrial holding MHP, with USD 663 mln (–27%);
- 13th — Vitaliy Khomutynnik, Cascade Investment Fund beneficiary, Member of Parliament of Ukraine, with USD 478 mln (+23%);
- 14th — Alexey Vadatursky, CEO of NIBULON, with USD 474 mln (–14%);
- 16th — Aleksandr Yaroslavsky, owner and President of DCH Group (Kharkiv Tractor Plant being a structural division of the Group), with USD 447 mln (+19%);
- 17th — Sergei Tigipko, owner of TAS Group (TAS AGRO being a structural division of the Group), with USD 407 mln (+83%);
- 19th — Andrei Verevskiy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kernel, and Ruslan Verevskiy with USD 358 mln (–15%);
- 20th — Vladimir Kostelman, CEO of Fozzy Group, with USD 283 mln (+5%);
- 35th — Sergei Krolevets, owner of the Eridon company, with USD 166 mln (+50%);
- 39th — Vadim Ermolaev, founder of the Alef company, USD 148 mln (+27%);
- 42nd — Fedor Shpig, co-owner of the holding Milk Alliance, USD 142 mln (+68%);
- 43rd — Vitaliy Gaiduk, top manager of Ukrainian Milk Company, USD 139 mln (+13%);
- 49th — Roman Chigir, co-owner of Fozzy Group, USD 127 mln (+5%);
- 50th — Oleg Sotnikov, co-owner of Fozzy Group, USD 127 mln (+5%);
- 60th — Taras Barschovski, owner of T.B. Fruit, with USD 105 mln (+1%);
- 62nd — Pavel Klimets, President of Olymp, with USD 102 mln (+2%);
- 66th — Boris Kolesnikov, co-owner of APK-Invest and Konti, with USD 96 mln (–15%);
- 71st — Alexander Petrov, Chairman of the Board of IMC, with USD 90 mln (+12%);
- 84th — Alexander Kuzminsky, founder and owner of the Globino group of enterprises, with USD 66 mln (+16%);
- 86th — Dmitriy Kravchenko, head of the Supervisory Board of LNZ Group, with USD 62 mln (+49%);
- 89th — Aleksandr Derkach, co-owner of the holding Milk Alliance, USD 60 mln (–15%);
- 91st — Rafael Goroyan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Prometey Group of Companies, with USD 58 mln (–15%);
- 94th — Evgeniy Sigal, co-founder of Agromars, with USD 160 mln (–30%);
- 95th — Viktor Ivanchyk, CEO of the agro-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv, with USD 55 mln (–25%);
- 96th — Valery Korotkov, ex-shareholder of Astarta-Kyiv, with USD 55 mln (–36%);
- 97th — Petr Rud, owner of Rud, with USD 53 mln (+24%);
- 100th — Andrei Tabalov, head of the milk company Voloshkove Pole, with USD 51 mln (+39%).
"The top 5 richest Ukrainians owning USD 16.6 billion, lost USD 3.8 bln this year. Over the year, the combines fortune has decreased by USD 2.6 bln. Dmitriy Firtash has increased his fortune the most — by USD 300 mln," the NV rating reads.
